“Mendicants, the arising of eye consciousness … mind consciousness … is the manifestation of old age and death.
The cessation of eye consciousness … mind consciousness … is the ending of old age and death.”
1Sāvatthinidānaṁ.
"Yo kho, bhikkhave, cakkhuviññāṇassa uppādo ṭhiti … pe … jarāmaraṇassa pātubhāvo … pe … yo manoviññāṇassa uppādo ṭhiti … pe … jarāmaraṇassa pātubhāvo.
Yo ca kho, bhikkhave, cakkhuviññāṇassa nirodho … pe … jarāmaraṇassa atthaṅgamo … pe … yo manoviññāṇassa nirodho … pe … jarāmaraṇassa atthaṅgamo"ti.
