I. The Eye — SN25.6: Perception

1At Sāvatthī.

“Mendicants, perception of sights is impermanent, perishing, and changing. Perception of sounds, perception of smells, perception of tastes, perception of touches, and perception of thoughts are impermanent, perishing, and changing.

Someone who has faith and confidence in these principles is called a follower by faith. …”

1Sāvatthinidānaṁ.

"Rūpasaññā, bhikkhave, aniccā vipariṇāmī aññathābhāvī; saddasaññā … gandhasaññā … rasasaññā … phoṭṭhabbasaññā … dhammasaññā aniccā vipariṇāmī aññathābhāvī.

Yo, bhikkhave, ime dhamme evaṁ saddahati adhimuccati, ayaṁ vuccati ‘saddhānusārī … pe … sambodhiparāyano’"ti.
