1Sāvatthiyaṁ vihārati.
"Catasso imā, bhikkhave, dhātuyo. Katamā catasso? Pathavīdhātu, āpodhātu, tejodhātu, vāyodhātu. Ye hi keci, bhikkhave, samaṇā vā brāhmaṇā vā imāsaṁ catunnaṁ dhātūnaṁ samudayañca atthaṅgamañca assādañca ādīnavañca nissaraṇañca yathābhūtaṁ nappajānanti … pe … (vitthāretabbaṁ) pajānanti … pe … sayaṁ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja vihārantī"ti.
