Seated to one side, Venerable Rādha said to the Buddha:

“Sir, they speak of ‘things that entail suffering’. What are the things that entail suffering?”

“Rādha, form, feeling, perception, choices, and consciousness are things that entail suffering.

Seeing this … They understand: ‘… there is no return to any state of existence.’”

1Sāvatthinidānaṁ.

Ekamantaṁ nisinno kho āyasmā rādho bhagavantaṁ etadavoca:

"‘dukkhadhammo, dukkhadhammo’ti, bhante, vuccati. Katamo nu kho, bhante, dukkhadhammo"ti?

"Rūpaṁ kho, rādha, dukkhadhammo, vedanā dukkhadhammo, saññā dukkhadhammo, saṅkhārā dukkhadhammo, viññāṇaṁ dukkhadhammo.

Evaṁ passaṁ … pe … nāparaṁ itthattāyāti pajānātī"ti.
