XII. With Kesi — AN 4.120: Perils (2nd)

1“Mendicants, there are these four perils. What four? The perils of fire, water, kings, and bandits. These are the four perils.”

1"Cattārimāni, bhikkhave, bhayāni. Katamāni cattāri? Aggibhayaṁ, udakabhayaṁ, rājabhayaṁ, corabhayaṁ – imāni kho, bhikkhave, cattāri bhayānī"ti.

Kesivaggo dutiyo.

2Kesi javo patodo ca,
Nāgo ṭhānena pañcamaṁ;
Appamādo ca ārakkho,
Saṁvejanīyañca dve bhayāti.
