1"Bhikkhus, these two kinds of persons are hard to satisfy. What two? One who amasses what he gains and one who squanders what he gains.[n.316] Yo ca laddhaṁ laddhaṁ vissajjeti. Mp glosses: "He gives to others" (paresaṁ deti). However, I think what is indicated by vissajjeti is not generosity but profligacy. These two kinds of persons are hard to satisfy."

1"Dveme, bhikkhave, puggalā duttappayā. Katame dve? Yo ca laddhaṁ laddhaṁ nikkhipati, yo ca laddhaṁ laddhaṁ vissajjeti. Ime kho, bhikkhave, dve puggalā duttappayā"ti.
